Let the Art Show Season Begin!!!

It's that time y'all!
Time for the Art Shows to start in full force.
From the end of October to the first of December, I have eight, yes eight shows.
What does that mean?
A lot of work.
I mean a real lot of work.
As a matter of fact, I will most likely be painting every day for the next month and a half.
I have to have AT LEAST 50 paintings.
50 if not more.

First up, we are slated for a soft opening of the art gallery
Ferrari Fine Art
for Thursday, October 24.
This is such an exciting time for us.
We are kicking it off with a cause.
Breast Cancer awareness.
The owner of the gallery's mother died of breast cancer on that date.
So this is particularly special for Carolyn Ferrari.
Even though these paintings are sold to collectors, my plan is to follow the style.
Enjoy!

Stay tuned!!!
have a great day y'all!

Football.
I love me some football.
Like really, really love me some football.
BTW, I know that is grammatically incorrect.
But I don't really care.

Yesterday, Alabama played Ole Miss.
Our house was divided.
(even though we knew Bama would win:)
so, off we went!
What a fun day catching up with old friends!!!
and yes Bama did win.

there were three TVs set up to watch pre-game activities as well as the LSU-Georgia game...

Dr. Haywood and my wonderful son (in matching shirts!)

the two token Ole Miss fans.....Not sure about the photo bomb:)

two of the sweetest!!!! One of my best friend's son and her DIL (due in December)....precious couple!

and two of my high school buddies!!!  Bill and Dawn! LOVED seeing them!!!

A Sad Reality....

This week two of my and "W's" friends lost a parent
A sad reality of where we are in this life.
Heartbreaking.
We are at the stage where this is unfortunately going to happen more and more frequently.
"The Sandwich Era"
in our lives.
The happy times getting to see our children getting married and having children.
The sad times making hard decisions concerning parents.
Trying to balance the back and forth between happiness and sadness.
This picture really makes me sad for some reason.
I guess because I know I'll be there some day.
We all will!
My only hope is that I can leave a legacy like our friend's mom Mary Grace Anderson.
She was like a second mom to my husband during college.
She was our daughter's first teacher.
She made everyone happy.
She had a full life and she knew when she was ready to let it go.
What a wonderful story.
and a great legacy for those who knew her to live by.

Heaven gained a new angel this week.

Have a great day y'all!

Wedding Wednesday! Featuring photographers Tec Petaja, Rylee Hitchner, and Leslee Mitchell

I am so excited to be kicking off my "Wedding Wednesday" blog with three of the most amazing photographers I have ever seen.
Tec Petaja, Rylee Hitchner, and Leslee Mitchell.

1.
Tec Petaja
Nashville, Tennessee.
His talent is truly phenomenal.
He oozes creativity.
I am sold on this photographer on all levels of his work.
Tec Petaja

Tec Petaja captures the perfect moment.

2.
Rylee Hitchner
Tuscaloosa, Alabama
worldwide wedding photographer extraordinaire.
 Rylee Hitchner

soft, subtle, with vintage flair, this encoustic artist captures every emotion of your beautiful day.
Young by most standards,  Rylee started taking photographs at age 14.
Now at the tender age of 21 she is doing photo shoots for Davids Bridals and Martha Stewart!
She travels all over the world shooting that special moment.
Her work feels fresh.
I think she is simply amazing.

3.
Leslee Mitchell.
Nashville, Tennessee
Leslee didn't start out as a photographer.
She evolved in to one after studying to be a lawyer!

Leslee Mitchell

Clean, fresh, with a touch of dramatic.
I love this gal's work.
Really, really amazing.
She is so good that she has been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings and Style Me Pretty just to name a few.
