ReplyDeleteOf all your pieces I love those of angels. My favorite Christmas is hard to narrow down. They are all always wonderful! The last couple have been the hardest though as we lost my dear dad 2 yrs ago and every year we feel the loss. Wishing you and your family a merry Christmas!

So so Beautiful- I just Love your Angel paintings Kendall! They are so very special! You have an amazing Talent-
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting, Kendall! Is it really bad to say that my favorite Christmases were those when I was a child vs. now that I have children of my own?? Anyway, I specifically remember having Christmas at my grandmother's house when I was 4,5,6,7 years old. Christmas seemed so magical then because everything was larger than life (as in, being little and standing in front of the tree looking up to the top). Even though there were 20 or so presents under the tree for everyone, I felt like they were all for me!! I also loved waking up there wearing my Christmas gown that she had gotten for me. All of that to say, there's no place like a grandmother's house on Christmas....I miss the magic of it all! Now, we work on that magic for our girls. Merry Christmas! Ann Pack david.ann@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Hope you have a very blessed Christmas! Sara ford (saraford22@gmail.com)
ReplyDeleteI love your paintings and blog. Christmas is my favorite holiday. Spending time with family and friends makes the season filled with joy and warmth. I think Charles Dickenson's quote is beautiful and says it best: "It is good to be children sometimes, and never better than at Christmas, when its mighty founder was a child himself." Christmas as a child was the greatest however as times change I now can enjoy it as the children in my family believe and continue the traditions my parents started when I was a child myself. I have been wanting to purchase one of your angel paintings for my mother for quite sometime now. However due to my nursing salary it is not possible, I would be honored to win this painting for my mom. I hope that you and your family have a blessed holiday season. julesjohnson@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteWOW !!!! What an awesome painting. It reminds me of the Mom and two daughters that I met by the road with a flat tire 6 years ago.My wife and I were able to get them 4 tires. We then learned that they were not going to have any Christmas presents and were out of food. We gathered a few friends and bought groceries and prsents.I will never forget the oldest daughter running through their apartment yelling" LOOK MOM, WE HAVE COOKIES".My wife and I cried all the way home. What a Christmas is was.God always seems to put someone that needs us in our path every year. MAYBE WE NEED THEM MORE THAN THEY NEED US COME TO THINK ABOUT IT. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog. julesjohnson@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteLove that beautiful painting! My favorite Christmas memory was the year of 2002. I was 12 years old, and it was the last Christmas we got to share with my great grandmother! She was the best dressed, most prim and proper lady I have ever met! She will always be missed.
ReplyDeleteEven more pretty in person! 'can't wait to show Bruce and Anne in Norfolk.
ReplyDeleteThanks again.

What a beautiful painting! My favorite Christmas would have to be the one from three years ago. My husband and I tend to move a lot and live far away from our families so we spend Christmas by ourselves due to his hectic work schedule. Three years ago we got the chance to go home and got to be with his family and mine! It was truly magical and I was so thankful for our time together.
ReplyDeleteYay!! I love your giveaways! My best Christmas was 2 years ago. It was our first Christmas being married, and it was a totally different and exciting experience!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I can look at this 100 times and feel something different each time. My favorite Christmas? When I was growing up and about 13 my father bought my mother a new wedding ring. She cried and we all cried!

I have to say your work is Beautiful, I love the Name of it and I will Ad this to explain why.
ReplyDeleteMatthew 28.18-20:
And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’
Your art work brings this to life.
Beautiful! My fave Christmas was 2 years ago, my first Christmas with my wonderful husband.

Probably my favorite Christmas was the first one with our daughter, Lillee. It was so much fun to see her eyes and hear the sweet sounds when she saw the abundance of Santa's gifts! Now, 3 kids later, those sounds are much louder and are more of a scream! So exciting to be blessed with three sweet angels to share the love and anticipation of our King's birthday this season.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas was when my mother & daddy (Sissy & Pa) were hear to share it with us. I would love to give this painting to my sweet daughter-in-law because she is so good to me!!!
ReplyDeleteLots of favorite Christmases but maybe my favorite was when I was eight. On Christmas eve I decided to ask Jesus to become Lord of my life. Greatest decision ever made! :) Love your work.
ReplyDeletei love your paintings and have always wanted one! My favorite christmas was my first married christmas. my husband has the best christmas spirit ever and he makes christmas the best! its the best time of the year!
ReplyDeleteLove your work Kendall and especially this beautiful piece. I love the whole Christmas atmosphere and try to keep the spirit of Christmas in my home all year. I know the gifts are just a small part, but I so enjoy the moments of my children opening their presents. That is the only gift I need. Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteEvery Christmas is special when we remember the birth of our Lord and Savior and spend time with family. I think this upcoming Christmas will be the best for me in a long time, because for the first time in 3 years my sweet husband of 27 years is cancer free!

ReplyDeleteI think I was 10 and the tree was trimmed with angel hair and blue decorations and I thought it was sooooo pretty and that's become my favorite Christmas memory. Every Christmas all my children are home is the best Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWould love to win the painting.
Finding Santa's sleigh marks on the ground Christmas morning when I was about 8. Beautiful painting........
ReplyDeleteHearing Santa and his reindeer landing on the roof, knowing I was supposed to be asleep is a vivid memory for me. I got so excited that I couldn't sleep the entire night, getting my parents out of bed before dawn to see what Santa left for me and my sisters!

Last Christmas was my favorite. My son was 1 1/2 and just starting to understand all the magic around Christmas. It was so fun seeing his face Christmas morning!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite Christmas day memories is spending the night at Eagle Lake with cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents. We all got to race down the stairs together to see what Santa brought. What a special time!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite Christmas memories was from last year - our first child's first Christmas! It was so special!
ReplyDeleteI love your work so much that I just have to enter your latest giveaway, and I could really use a beautiful reminder of how important serenity is in our lives. Every Christmas is so special, but a favorite memory is the year Santa brought Sawyer a Barbie Jeep (about 12 years ago) and I could not resist racing around in our unfinished basement to give it a test drive on Christmas Eve!!! There is a plus in being petite! Scary, but she will be taking driver's ed in a few months and I would love to rewind to the Barbie Jeep in the cul de sac days. Merry Christmas to you and your gorgeous family! Tammy Parker Stewart, richtamsaw@comcast.net

ReplyDeleteLast Christmas was a memorable one. Because of the heavy snow we could not get to my son's house in Cumming. We had to turn around and return home to share canned chili in front of the fireplace......Bar007@aol.com
ReplyDeleteLove being a follower and seeing your breathtaking paintings! Would love to have one with angels! Thank you for sharing this beautiful work with all of us!

Last year was a "special" Christmas because we started a new Tradition. My parents spent Christmas Eve with us and we went to the "boys home" to grill steaks and share a meal with "my guys"! They got a big bang out of my Dad! So fun!!!
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE Christmas at our house! One fun thing that has made many Christmas' special is our family advent calendar. We countdown to Christmas and there is a hanging calendar with treats or surprises in each pouch as we count down to Christmas. Love your paintings! Merry Christmas Everyone!

My most favorite Christmas was when "Santa" left his footprints ALL OVER OUR HOUSE! He had obviously just been to a place where there was lots of snow because he got snow everywhere in our house! It was so much fun and I will never forget it as long as I live!
ReplyDeleteAshley (ash3989@aol.com)
I have had many a favorite Christmases in my life, but I am most looking forward to this one - my twin boys will be 4 two weeks before Christmas, and this is THE AGE for them to understand everything. I am so, so excited to experience it through their eyes.

I really don't have a favorite - they all were good - "Santa" used to call me on Christmas Eve when I was a child - those were specially nice . . . I remember being so anxious for that phone call . . . the butterflies were so intense.

This will be my favorite Christmas. My brother is cancer free. Still praying. Found out last Christmas he had throat cancer and it turned out to be stage 4. We are so blessed. I hope to see you at the Christmas party in Dothan.
ReplyDeleteThanks for making us smile.

My father-in-law was in the hospital over the holidays one year. We decorated his room and actually piled on the hospital bed and opened presents. As unfortunate as it was, it is the one we all talk about the most.
ReplyDeleteemilyhise@comcast.net
Serenity is just what I need. Half a day in the dentist chair, only to come home to less than favorable mid-term report cards, and assignments for the holidays. No big deal, just build a nativity scene with the stable, manger, complete with all characters, animals and angel. I wanted to avoid stress for Christmas but it keeps finding me. I will keep seeking Serenity, in whatever form.
ReplyDeleteLast year was my favorite christmas so far and I think this year will even top that! My son is 3 and watching Christmas through the eyes of a child and watching him start to understand the magic is so much fun and so special.

ReplyDeleteIt's so difficult to choose a favorite Christmas memory, isn't it? However, as a child my dad always wrote clues in the form of short poems to turn gift-giving into holiday scavenger hunts! We would have so much fun laughing over mis-reading the clues, etc. His method made the fun of opening gifts last longer and memorable.
