ReplyDeleteWhen I saw this piece on FB this morning...a thought came into my mind. This represents our beautiful Gulf, and the Angels are reaching out to us,to hold us, to give us HOPE,and to guide us in the recovery of this man made disaster. I see many "Faces" in this piece! Such beautiful work Kendall. I would love to have this!!!

I would love to give this to my husband, Skip. He's been battling prostate cancer for almost 2 years now. He's doing great, but I will never forget when he told me that when he was really depressed one day, he sat on the edge of our bed and began to pray. Right after that, he felt such comfort, as if a blanket had been wrapped around him. I firmly believe that Jesus sent Angels that day, and they've been with him for this entire journey.

I want to put this at the top of my stairs in rememberance of my father who passed away the morning after fathers day 2008.

I just love angels! Since we're moving, I'd love to have a new painting to start things off right---and your Angels would be a double blessing!
ReplyDeleteI have just recently been introduced to your work, and even though I don't know anything about art,I love it! I can't even describe to anyone what kind of art that I like, I just know when I see it.When my soul is stirred I am so amazed at all the facets of a painting that I can see and feel!!The angels are so beautiful in this painting!I see people leaving here and wanting to leave a piece of themselves behind for the rest of us!That's how it's really suppose to be you know!A part of them will always be with us.It's so very simple but still such a miracle.A part of my Grannie and of my Mamaw will always be with me, and I'm so grateful for that! The way that you can tell a story with the layers of paint that you use is beautiful! I love your work, I love this painting, and I really do love and appreciate what it says to me! Janet Cisco
ReplyDeleteKendall, your work is amazing! I love this painting because the colors and subject are comforting. This would work in every room of my home and would serve to remind me that it is never too late to grow and follow your dreams. You and your artwork are inspirational! I look forward to following your work on your blog and website. P.S. Your family is beautiful.

After graduating from Auburn, my daughter Halley left on Aug. 1st on a world mission trip to 11 countries. She has spent one month in each country. She is currently in Thailand and will be flying home on June 29th. I am totally redoing her room. When she gets home, I want her to have a peaceful, relaxing room. I would LOVE to have this hanging in her room when she gets home...it is soooo her! I couldn't worry about her, only prayed her guardian angels would protect her.
ReplyDeleteJoy Power
I think you are randomly fabulous and would LOVE one of these paintings!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love love love all your paintings!!! Especially the angel ones. I have not one piece of authentic art in my home- which means I have lots of photographs, prints, and bare walls. My house is pretty neutral so the blue would be a beautiful "pop"!

ReplyDeleteKendall, after reading all the post ... I would give it to so many ! I'm just selfish and I just appreiciate you and your art and wanted a piece just because YOU painted it from your heart and that's why I would love to have it ! I'm just being honest ! I lov ya !!
ReplyDeleteI came across your blog from another blog, and I have you book marked because I just love you paintings. The angels, boat and hunting ones are my favorites. All of the people above who commented have so many meaningful reasons why they deserve it, but I know you are selecting at random, which is why I went ahead and posted a comment. I am in the process of buying a new house, and I would love to have this painting to put it in my new living area.

ReplyDeleteMy sweet husband and I have been married almost a year now! As you know, starting a life with little to no money can be the best and worst! Sometimes it's really fun to challenge yourself and spend long nights laughing about it, and other times it's just down right frustrating to not be able to "decorate" as you wish. I wish I had all the money in the world and then I would buy a huge tree painting for over my mantle, an angel painting for my bathroom, and have one commissioned too! :) Wesley and I are about to celebrate our one year anniversary and to me the angels would symbolize us and our first year together! How fun!!
ReplyDeletePs- I am trying your potato salad recipe THIS WEEK! You'll have to try my pizza in exchange :)

12. Okay.............I will stop.

ReplyDeleteI love angels. I love your artwork. Breathtaking......:) I really feel like God's angels have surrounded me over the past few years. Even though there have been rough times, the beauty lies in Christ and His love is far better than anything I have ever experienced:)
ReplyDeleteP.S. The second reason is I have the "perfect" spot for this in my dining room that I just painted:)
Love in Christ,
Allison
Well, I just happened upon this and decided I would write because I would LOVE to win "Faces." There are several reasons.....first of all, I had custody of one of my dancers 12 years ago. She was an amazing, smart and talented young woman. On her 18th birthday, she was murdered along with her best friend. JB, Tracy and I spent lots of time together and since they left the earth, I still feel them. I feel like I have 2 angels around me at all times. In fact, I collect things that have 2 angels because of JB and Tracy. After they arrived in heaven, they asked God to make a special deliverary to me. You see, JB always wanted me to have her a little brother or sister and Tracy had two little brothers she adored. I could not have children. After they died, I had 2 successful pregnancies that produced 2 boys....Samuel and Elijah.....my earthly angels. (JB made the request, Tracy picked 2 boys!) Sam and Eli are my second reason for loving "Faces."The last reason, is you. One angel sort of soars ahead of the other, as if leading. That was sort of the way I felt about you when I was growing up. You did everything for me! Everything from teaching me how to cook french fries to plucking my eyebrows to "trying" to sew....you ended up making everything because I COULD NOT get it.....to how to slow dance......you name it. You were the one that taught and led. So there you go Missy! If nothing else, I loved sharing this story with you and I will love you always!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful painting! I would love to win it for my father for Father's Day. He would love it! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI love it and would love to have it in my house! Dona Stickler
ReplyDeleteI wish I had an elaborate response that was as well written as some that have been posted. I just love that we know God's angels are all around us and this paiting evokes a peace that is really beyond words. it would go great in our family room. you have a very special gift.
ReplyDeleteI think it is stunning. I would be honored to hang it in my house
ReplyDeleteI love this painting!! It reminds me of my mother. Just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteIt is just my son and me. This would be a wonderful piece of art to hang in our home to remind each of us that we always have an angel watching over us.
ReplyDeleteOh, gorgeous!! Found you thru Darby's blog, and I LOVE your work! We're re-doing our master bedroom, and this would be the perfect, inspirational work to wake up to every morning.
ReplyDeleteI have two boys that are my angels. Angels that get a little dirty. That's what I think of. It's a very beautiful piece. Jeremy
ReplyDeleteWho wouldn't love to have it?! Love the colors and love the simplistic beauty of the two angels. Emilie
ReplyDeleteI would love this because it's um, GORGEOUS! This would look fabo in my dining room! Or my bedroom! Or my living room! Or my foyer! You get the idea...
ReplyDeleteBetsy
I love the colors - it would fit perfectly with the color scheme in my living room. Fingers crossed!

I am a college student moving into my apartment in Oxford, MS on July 1st! Next summer, I'm getting married to my very best friend and this would be a wonderful addition to our new home. These are the colors we are using in our bedroom, and we're just two angels sent by God to be together.
ReplyDeleteMegan
Love it! I would either put it in my soon to be born baby girls room or my bedroom!!
ReplyDeleteLauren Train
My husband asked for a divorce during Easter week and so I stayed with my sister until I could figure out what to do next. She came in to wake me up on Easter morning with a pregnancy test that said she was pregnant with my first niece or nephew! What a blessing during such a rough, rough time. If I win this painting, I will give it to her for her baby's nursery to symbolize the hope there is in new beginnings:)
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love this painting. This picture is so peaceful and would be so great to put in my kitchen where I have a small angel statue sitting in the window over the sink. Angels always remind me of God's love and grace for us all. :)
ReplyDeleteKendall--I've admired your paintings before and am crossin' my fingers for this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful piece! I lost my Grandfather this year. He and my Grandmpther had been married for 66 years, and it breaks my heart to see her soldiering on alone. This painting reminds me that their sould are joined forever and will be reunited in Heaven. I would like to give this to her, I think it would give her comfort.

I LOVE your work and from time to time log onto your website/blog from Darby's just to see more things I love, but cant afford!!! ReplyDeleteKendall, I just happened upon your blog and fell in love with your stories, photos, and artwork. I am 47 yrs old and was happy to read about another woman at the same stage of life as me (minus the grandchild but can't wait!) and what life has in store for us in our empty nest stage. Your blog fuels my passion for all things beautiful and family.
ReplyDeleteNow on to why I would love to win your painting "Faces". Not only is this a beautiful piece but it makes me feel at peace. I recently lost my dear, dear father to cancer and I pray every day that he is at peace. This painting of angels evokes these feelings and I would proudly and lovingly hang this piece in my home to always remind me of my dad.

ReplyDeleteLove love love it! I never win anything, maybe this will be my lucky day!!
ReplyDeleteI have admired your paintings since finding your work through Darby's blog. When I saw this painting (on Darby's blog), I was immediately drawn to the imagery. Viewing the two angels, reminds me of my grandmother (who recently passed away) and my grandfather (whom I never met). I think of them often as angels with a guiding light, as they were both incredibly strong people who pursued their passions and lived life with zest. I am in graduate school right now, working on 2 masters degrees, and I struggle with life decisions of playing it safe or reaching out and pursuing an unconventional path towards inner and outer joy improving the lives of others(i.e. working in a third world country or in an impoverished area). I often look to my grandparents, who took the road less taken, as guiding lights in my life, knowing that they will always be there as angels watching over me.
ReplyDeleteI have admired your work for a while! I love it!! PLEASE let me win it. THANKS :)

I love this painting! Two of my favorite verses are about angels:
ReplyDeletePsalm 91 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
Hebrews 1 14 Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
What a beautiful reminder of how God cares for us!

I would love to hang this gorgeous painting in our baby Genevieve's room who is due in October. Love the constant reminder that God's warriors are watching out for us always. Love your beautiful work!

I LOVE this painting and all the work I have seen of yours so far. I think this painting would be really inspiring in my first apartment with my husband: our tiny 400-500 square foot apartment in need of art!

Love your artwork! Callie loves her puppy dog painting! This one is just as amazing! Jennifer Matwijec
ReplyDeleteI happened upon your Web site today (June 8), quite by accident. WOW, this painting really spoke to me. It's absolutely beautiful, and reminds me of my mother, who earned her wings in February of 2008 - very unexpectedly. I'm most appreciative of the chance to win such a stunning work of art.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful piece. Love to hang it in my family room.

I must really want this painting! This is my fifth attempt to post a comment and for some reason, they will not post! Anyway, I lLOVE your paintings, Kendall but this one just sends me! I have had a fascination with angels for a very long time and these angels are stunning. They are so spiritual and your painting style is conducive to the subject matter: very ethereal. I have a daughter (age 25) whose name is Kendell and so many of the qualities of your painting apply to her spirit.
ReplyDeleteYou really make a powerful statement when you "wash" your canvases with these beautiful, mysterious images. Thank you for sharing your art; I would LOVE to own one of your spectacular paintings!

I would love to win this art work. It would look great at my beach house. I tried to go get a print of Missing the Bear at the Sports Hall of Fame a few Saturdays ago while in Birmingham but the Hall of Fame was closed for the weekend. Hopefully this try at getting some of your work will be more be better.

i definitely thought i entered this yesterday, so i apologize if it's a repeat entry! it would be such a joy to win this painting since a) it's beautiful and b) it would be the first piece of real art to go on the walls of our first home:)
