I recently lost 3 friends. My first thought was that this is them. They're Angels in heaven now looking down on us. Happy, no pain, and no sorrow.
ReplyDeleteWe are currently going through the adoption process. We have two wonderful little girls and are hoping to adopt a baby boy. I love that this could represent our future family. Your work is beautiful! Melanie melanieshaley@gmal.com
ReplyDeleteSometimes you see a painting and it just speaks to you. I love the use of color and the abstract angels. Best of all, I have the perfect place for it so I can see it and be inspired by this beautiful piece EVERYDAY! Christi.gamble@charter.net, 205-335-1695.
ReplyDeleteI love your work! It's all so beautiful.

I had 3 abortions before I came to know Jesus at 24 years old. Since then, my husband and I have had 3 (lost 1) children to remind us of just how far his forgiveness goes. I think often of those precious souls that He welcomed into heaven when I wouldn't welcome them here. This painting would be a daily reminder to me of Psalm 103:12 'as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.'

I have been trying to get in your art class to paint one myself but the spaces fill up too quickly! Winning one of yours would be SO much better!! Obviously, I still want to take the art class (what's better than painting and wine?!) so please let me know when you do another one too!

I have 3 children and this reminds me of them. Although they are not angelic all the time :-) this reminds me that they are a gift from above.

My dear friend's birthday is coming up in October. Life has dealt her a hard deck of cards and her belief in angels is what has helped her persevere and survive. In addition to losing her husband suddenly to acute leukemia 12 years ago at age 35 with 3 kids under age 9 (died on their 10th wedding anniversary!), she was diagnosed 3 years ago with an aggressive breast cancer. She has had the long road of chemo, radiation, surgeries, infections, etc. She has had many physical/medical complications since then & is still not quite recovered (getting there). I wish her story was not a true story. I have been trying to get her to take your class for fun, therapy & to go home with a beautiful piece of angel artwork. Would love to be able to give this to her for her birthday in October!!

DeleteThis is lovely. When I first looked at it I was immediately reminded of my 3 little ones, ages 5,3 and 13 months! We would be honored to have it as the first painting to hang on our empty walls (we've been here for 2 years last Sunday :-z). It doesn't hurt that the colors you used are my favorite!

I have three children. Our first child Thomas was born healthy after an uneventful pregnancy. Our 2nd child, our daughter Kathryn, we discovered at 32 weeks, was very very sick with something called non immune hydrops. It has about a 90% mortality rate. On paper through testing, she looked healthy. We had no idea what was making her sick. She was born at 36 weeks & doctors tried tirelessly to determine what was causing it. She died at 12 days old. We were devastated. The autopsy presumed she had a structural birth defect unlikely to recur & we were given the go ahead to try again. A year later, in May of 2012, we discovered we were expecting again. At 18 weeks pregnant, we found out our son Micah also had fetal hydrops. We were literally reliving our worst nightmare. We were aggressive in treatment thanks to an early diagnosis and had three intrauterine procedures to drain fluid off Micah's lungs during the pregnancy. Unfortunately my water broke at 27 weeks. Micah was born at 29 weeks by emergency c section on thanksgiving night of 2012 after I suffered a placental abruption. He was so sick at birth that doctors told us to prepare to say good bye to another child. However, there were much bigger plans at play. We spent 8 months in the NICU: 4 at Brookwood, and 4 at Children's, but Micah was able to come home in July of 2013. He is now a happy, smiling, crazy 22 month old :-) I realized the other day that I will never have a picture of all three of my children together, and when I saw your post, it took my breath away. I just stare at the painting. It's like looking at those angels is affirming my being a mother to three beautiful angels and not just two. It puts a serenity and an affirmation to the peace that can come through hell.

I love your artwork! My husband, three year old son and I moved to Birmingham recently and while it was a big move with a lot of changes we definitely feel at peace that we are where we are supposed to be in our new home. Hanging this beautiful painting on our new walls would be a reminder to us daily that we are not walking this journey alone. Thanks so much for offering this opportunity at a giveaway!

I love this painting. I have three small children and am thankful daily that The Lord made me their mom. One has had some health issues that have brought on a struggle with anxiety for me. In the past few weeks The Lord has made it clear that I am to TRUST in Him for He loves them even more than I do.

This one is so beautiful. I love angels...reminds me of my loved ones...those gone and those still here.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful piece. The angels are "protecting" the viewer. I guess you could say it's Heavenly!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kendall! I love your blog! And although your painting is beautiful, I no longer want it for a loved one or myself. After reading (and tearing up almost immediately) Mary Michael Kelley's comment above, it was so beautiful, and it just seemed so meant to be. So... my comment is on behalf of her. Thank you so much for your generosity, and please keep writing! Molly McBride
ReplyDeleteThis painting is really beautiful! You are very talented!
