A Little Photo Session with my man

Well, once again I'm back in B'ham.

Yep, mom has to have surgery.....again.

I will be making Brookwood Hospital my second home for a while.

Please say a little prayer for her.  She is expected to be there this time for 6 - 8 weeks.  Yikes!

In the meantime "I" got to have a little photo session with my lil man.

This is how it went...

"OH my gosh, I look just like my daddy!"

  "Please, please Gigi, don't do this to me!"

"I'm not gonna look at you, I'm not gonna look at you" 

and then he said "who are you anyway????"

 "come on lil B you can do it, talk to Gigi, talk to Gigi"

                          

"really you silly woman, do you REALLY want me to say something" "come on, I've got yo numba"

 "can I give you a little smile instead?"

 "and then I'll give you a BIG ole chuckle!"

 then in a flash, wam,  back to normal

 "OH be still my Bennett lovin heart".......

"Mary De" and Me

Let me just tell you right now that Children's Corner patterns and I are not on speaking terms...or is it am not?  nevermind....

I have NEVER gotten so frustrated at a pattern in my life.

As a matter of fact W two rooms over can hear me typing.

I have been sewing since I was 9.......that's a long time....

I even had a children's clothing line for 5 years.  I've designed, made patterns, sewn til my fingers bled, I've done it all when it comes to a sewing machine....

I even have my own tag...

basically I know it all when it comes to the sewing machine

SO

I really can't believe that CC is allowed to take our money sell a pattern with such shotty instructions!  Seriously folks.

Are ya with me here?????

I shortened the dress to make a long top and added the tie.  This is normally the front,

then I added little ruffled pants!

Can't wait to see Evey in this

Lovin Fall

Fall is my favorite time of the year.

Oops! I Goofed!!!

Addendum to the Rag Top Necklace....

oops.  I goofed.

I wore mine yesterday and whadda ya know?

I had chiffon ALL over my black outfit.

As a matter of fact, I felt like I was swimming in a sea of chiffon.

(I'm one of those that is constantly picking hair off of people so you know how this drove me CRAZY!)

So, I did this simple little thing.

It changes the look slightly, but at least you won't have unsightly little "hair" all over your clothes.

Here's a new one that I made.

So much fabric you will get claustrophobic with one foot in the door.

Here's the new one: great color huh?  (it's actually moss green)

see the shredding of the chiffon?  I also added tulle

 a closer look

 now take a torch lighter and VERY carefully singe the edges.

you may want to even do this before tying the chiffon on.

 Here's the finished product! (I sorta like it better)

Oh, a few people have asked if I will be selling these?  Sorry but nope, just givin them as gifts.

We love this but didn't buy it.  I had already put one of these at the beach house so we opted for a little more "mature looking chest.  I just love this piece!!!
