Who Wants to Go to Camp?

I do!!

No really, I do!

Yesterday I went with J to pick up E from her 3 days at Camp Winnataska.

SO fun FO real.

And it really, really made me want to find an adult camp.
(Preferably one that would make me lose weight before our television debut) (wink)

So, camera in tow, I think I got some great, sweet shots!
Enjoy!!

she can't wait to go.

um...Evers kinda takes after her grandmother.....She said "those beds are really, really small.....I'm used to a queen size bed and really soft sheets"....(her mom is going to KILL me for printing that..0

But, really, if I go to an adult camp, the beds will have to be big and soft sheets..

Have a wonderful day y'all!

The Boggs' Fam is Going to be on Family Feud!

Yes.
We are going to be famous....
And rich....

um...obviously that is wishful thinking!
However....

WE ARE GOING TO BE ON FAMILY FEUD!!!!

hahahhahahhah!!!

no, we cannot quit laughing about it!

So, back in gosh, May I think, we auditioned along with about 5,000 of our closest friends to be on FF.

This was SO much fun y'all.
Really, one of the most fun things we as a family have ever done.

We had to go up in front of a large crowd and do a "mock" game.
After that they chose about 10% to go to the next round and we were lucky enough to be in that 10%.
This is where they did a video of us, and asked us questions, basically interviewing us.
We told everything about us, you know, what we do, what our hobbies are and just good ole stuff.

So really, after that, we didn't know if we would get chosen or not.
Anyway
about 3 weeks later we got a post card saying that we were on the short list and needed to submit the dates that we could participate.

Then nothing! nodda word back from FF.
We were depressed :(

So, as I'm sitting around Saturday afternoon I got a call!!!
Carlos was his name.

THEYWANTUS!!!

OMG, we are SOOOO stinkin excited!!!

(and trying to figure out what to wear)
hey....ya know it's important.

So, we make our television debut on August 5th.

We have decided that the girls will wear fuchsia dresses.
The guys will wear khaki pants with white button downs and fuchsia ties.
Like this.

This is my dress

this is Callen's dress

this is sister's dress

and these are the guys ties....

What cha think?

Wish us luck and I'll (of course) keep you updated ;)

have a terrific day y'all!!!

Yummy Scallops! It's Whats Fer Dinner!

Can anyone else out there believe it is already July 1st?
wow!

So.  I've been on a little cooking spree lately!

I LOVE scallops. Probably my favorite seafood dish.
This week I came up with my own little concoction for yummy scallops!

So.  Here we go!

First you obviously need some big ole plump scallops.

and some Italian style bread crumbs

salt and pepper and garlic your scallops

then coat them with bread crumbs

chop up some green onions

melt some butter in your skillet

saute the onions slightly

add the scallops one at a time

while they are cooking, add a little red pepper

Brown each scallop for about 2 minutes on each side

then add a little white wine and lemon juice and cook for an additional 2 - 3 minutes.

Serve over tuffle oil drizzled rice!

Now for a bonus recipe!

Summer Vege Chutney

Here's what cha need!
Kalamata olives, yellow baby tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, and cilantro

*tip
how to cut baby tomatoes:

but then you're left with washing two extra plates.....

chop it all up!

I added this wonderful sea salt with rosemary

and a little balsalmic vinegar and olive oil

mix it all up and you've got a terrific addition to any meal!!!

Have a wonderful day y'all!
