Taking Care of Me....The MacDaddy of all New Year's Resolutions....

I'm typically not a big New Year's Resolution maker.
I also NEVER EVER go out on New Year's Eve.
However, this year may be different.

Next year I am giving myself the first 3 months of the year to change a few things.
January 1st will be exactly 3 months and 7 days before Callen's and Houston's wedding.
I realize that I'm kind of piling on the resolutions, but this year has kind of taken a toll on me.
I have done, done, and done.
And, I have TOTALLY let myself go.
So, here it is.

I am actually going to do a 31 day challenge for the month of January.  So, for each day I will match the day with a dollar amount.  By January 31st I will have saved 496.00.

yep, getting some Botox.  I'm not too proud to admit it.

 doing this too.  Join me.

completely getting off ALL sodas.  Nothing but caffeine free iced tea or lemon/cucumber water.

Starting classes at Pure Barre.

NO alcohol for 3 months.

Starting on this face regimen.  It is really amazing.  It is kind of hard I'm not going to lie, but trust me on this.  It's like a mini face lift at a fraction of the cost

work on my sleep issues....big time

less of this.

I'm not going to say how much weight I'm going to lose.  I'm just going to say that I'm going to lose 2 clothing sizes.

spend more time with this guy.

and this one too.

I'm doin it!!!!

have a great day y'all!!!

Let's Talk About Religion.....

I was born and raised Episcopalian.
Yes, you know the drill.
Sit, kneel, pray, stand, sit, kneel, pray, stand.
and over, and over and over again.
Honestly, I can't tell you how many times Reverend Acosta called me out (by name) after dosing off...or chewing gum...or doodling....or talking.
I went most of my life to The Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Dothan, Alabama.

An absolutely beautiful (and really I'm serious)
high church with the most amazing pipe organ you've ever heard.

Candlelight service was my favorite

I was not christened there, but I went through communion there.
The classes, the whole bit.

"W" grew up Southern Baptist.
Makes for an interesting mix huh?

You know, when there are four Episcopalians together, there is usually a 5th.
that's the truth
Southern Baptist? not so much.
Although, I have seen a few "too many" Southern Baptist down a few too many.

Growing up in Dothan, there were some challenges with in me with religion, I'm not going to lie.
I was raised truly feeling guilty about certain aspects of my belief.
I was raised in a predominately Southern Baptist area.
I'm not saying that's bad at all, it just made for a little bit of confusion concerning religion for me.
I am much more of a spiritual person than a religious one.
I believe in God, I believe in healing, I believe that the lessons that God teaches us need to be listened to and followed.
My spiritual side is one of trusting my instincts that I really, really believe are guided by angels.
Many of whom are my deceased friends and family.
I pray.
I will say that with my Episcopalian upbringing, religion is extremely personal to me.  Very much so.  I don't talk about it much.  My God, is my God, and my relationship with Him is mine and mine alone.
Right or wrong?
You be the judge....if you're a judgemental person.
(don't get me on that soapbox)
Anyway, last night we went to J and E's church last night for Christmas service.  To say this ole "Episcopalian" can change her ways about religion is well, just the truth.
I love this church.
Church of the Highlands.
Pastor is just stinkin hilarious.
Music is simply amazing.
I love everything about this church.
One thing that stands out with me about this church is a sermon the pastor talked about about 6 months ago.
He said that he actually got a phone call from one of the members telling him that someone had lit up a cigarette in the parking lot.
His comment was "well, I hope you never do anything wrong"
I do not like hypocrites AT ALL.
Ya know, it's really their choice if they want to smoke or not.
I loved that he (the pastor) was so unconditional about this.

In closing, I want to say that I try to live my life with out conditions attached.
I am a forgiving soul.   That's not to say I immediately forget.
(something I'm working on)
but,,I believe in forgiveness.
I Totally believe in faith.
I believe in Angels.
I believe in God.
I thank God every day for blessing me with the most amazing life anyone could have.

My religion is a personal relationship with God.
It's between me and him.
Some may disagree, but remember....we are not here to judge.
Have a wonderful Christmas Eve y'all!!!
my babies.

THRILLED to announce!!!

So many wonderful things are happening in my art world!!!
Humbled is the only word I can think of.
Not only has this been a gang buster year as far as my painting goes, my Grace 11:11 bottle line has just been accepted into the renowned Trinity Spotlight on Art show here in Atlanta.
The show starts February 3 and goes through February 8th.
This is one of the most prestigious shows in the South with highly sought after artists from all over the country.
There have been articles written in so many publications on this show.
Even overseas!
Highly coveted and a tremendous honour to be invited.
when I got the word yesterday that my new bottle line
Grace 11:11 has been accepted into the show I was ecstatic.
Really, really ecstatic.
Since I am down to about 5 bottles, I will be hittin the ground soldering right after the first!!!

(please note, not all bottles shown are available)
If you happen to live in the Atlanta area, I literally have around 6 bottles left for purchase.

Please contact
Carolyn Ferrari
for information on purchasing.
Unfortunately it is too late to have shipped (unless I can convince my husband to go over to the gallery, have them packed, and take it to UPS to be overnight ed for a ridiculous cost......hum)
It really could be done if I'm nice enough to him....
wait.  I'm ALWAYS nice to him :)

Thank you so much for all of your support!

The Importance of Friendships!

I woke up thinking about my friend E.
What a joy to have her in my life.
Yesterday, J and I got the kiddos dressed all up to go see the Pink Pig.
I called E to see if she would meet us at Lenox.
She is getting ready to go on a 3 week trip to Antarctica.
Not only did she take the time to meet us, she went and bought goodies my my g-babies.
To say she is a joy to my life its an understatement.
I love that friend so much.
and am blessed to have her in my life.

On to a Lenox staple.  The Pink Pig.

well, It was a little tough to get all the kids to smile at once, but you get the drift!!!!
I'm SO happy to have my babies here!!!

oh, and E.  Have the most wonderful trip EVER!!! and...STAY warm!!!!
