The Root Canal

I guess I have to tell you my every move huh?
haha!
The root canal and crowns went SO well.  I mean seriously folks, another "shout out" to my two new (well one was already a "best friend") the other is a new best friend.  For making this SUCH a painless procedure.  And you cannot even tell that I have two crowns in my mouth.  Albeit temporary ones, they look amazing!
Dr. Darren Sisal is my new best friend
but you know? I can't find his website.  Surely he has one, if not, I'm going to send him over to my son Greg
(thought I'd slip the BEST website designer EVER in here)
Here is Dr. Tim Haywood's again
Tim will send you right down to Darren if you need more extensive work.
Really, if you live in the Birmingham area and need dental work, look no further than these two guys.

Okay, I'm done giving "shout outs"
Oh, do you know how I wish I could show you THE DRESS?????  We had a magician re-make, update, and turn my wedding gown into a totally new one for Callen.  Glad I found one of mom's hankies because I will need it when I see Callen walkin down that isle.  I think she will be the most beautiful bride ever!
Now........guess what?  I get to reveal my little secret!
See that lil peanut right there?
Yep, we're getting a new little g-baby!!!
We are just thrilled beyond words.
Jordan and Eric are due February 21st!
If you want to see the cutest thing ever hop on over to j's blog
Have a fantabulous day y'all!
ME? I get to go stand in line at the DMV with Calliemo, to get a new driver's license then off to renew her passport for her exciting honeymoon! (yes, I know, we are a lil behind on this.)  Saying a prayer that all this can be done really fast.

Whut up?

Hey there y'all!
Hope everyone has a great day today.
Me?
Well, the dress fitting was a total BUST (no pun intended)
We miscommunicated and the dress won't be ready until today.
I'm picking it up on my way to Birmingham (again)....for.....another
ROOT CANAL. yup.  and two crowns.
Dang.  I'm trying to sike myself out for this and just not think about it.
My wonderful dentists will take good care of me I know.
Then?  Callen and Andy's first bridal party!
They are being thrown a "low country boil" party by some very generous friends and family.
Fun, fun, fun!
You WILL be seeing pics, I can promise you.
I think it's safe to show you the invite now since they are all out and received.  They were so much fun to put together......(I say that with a lil smirk on my face)
Thank you again Jim Anderson for ALL of your help!
The wedding is getting close! We have 3 weeks to go, then I can assure you, I will be showing you
everything!  Speaking of everything......Everything is done except for the stuff I can't do until the week of the wedding!
In the meantime, I'm missing my lil sweetie!  She is such a mixture of Jordan and Eric.  And, there's another secret that I have, but I can't reveal it yet.
She reminds me so much of Jordan when she was this age. Actually J was a little older.  Decided to snap her portrait to show you
May you have a wonderful day y'all!

Dollhouses just got ALOT cooler

Callen snatched this photo yesterday.
She was teaching Evey how to clean up her dollhouse like a big girl.
Then realized that her doll house needed a big screen TV just like Gigi's and Gmans!
I just thought this was hilarious! (and creative)
The Iphone playing Tom and Jerry.
By the way, broke my heart.  She saw my two dress commissioned pieces and over and over said "this one is Evey's and this one is my friend Lucy's
(came really close to painting two new commissioned pieces)
Guess I'll be down in the art room painting today.
Cause.......Gigi can't disappoint her sweet lil bebe girl.
Have a great Wednesday ya'll!

Photo Album

Well, I got up this morning......4:30.  yup. erggg.  Anyway, the first thing I usually do after I get my coffee is check my e-mail.  Well, no computer to be found.  Some lil thief who is here for her final dress fitting  (oh, that's why I couldn't sleep, I am SOOOOOO excited) anyway, this lil thief had taken it up to her room.  So being the good mom that I am, I chose to go get my old computer (and y'all I'm talkin ooooooold) and use it instead of waking her.
What I love about my oooooooold computer?  I get to look back at ooooooold photos.  Being in total "wedding" mode I was looking back at Jordan's wedding.  So, I thought I'd share some of her photos with you!
She and Eric were married 5 years ago at Rosemary Beach in the panhandle of Florida on a beautiful day in April.  I could not have hand picked a better day.  It went so smooth.  I'm only hoping and praying that the next two weddings will go as well.  Let's pray these afternoon thunderstorms with GO AWAY!!!  I was informed this weekend that we are officially down to 3 weeks before the August wedding.  Can you believe that right now???? Callen said the week of the wedding doesn't count.  Not sure why, I'm planning on gettin ALOT done that week!
Anyway, enjoy!

Is everyone's week gonna be messed up?  What day is it anyway?
oh wait, it's Tuesday already?
have a great one y'all!

A Fun Day!

We had a fun day yesterday.....A little disappointing, but nevertheless, fun.
Let's see.  What DID we do?
After I finished addressing ALL of the rehearsal dinner invitations and taking them to the post office (yes, I realize they will not be open til tomorrow) but.....it's one more thing off of my table!)
We swam in our pool, then we went over to Reynolds Landing so that Evey could watch Gigi go down the BIG slide!
Well thankfully oh I'm so, SO sad......someone had dropped the dreaded "snickers" bar dun dun,,,,,,dun dun, dun dun, dun dun, dun dun (can't you just see it right now on Caddy Shack) in the pool.  So....the pool was closed!  I have a feeling I'll be going down that thing this morning.  It's okay, I really love water slides. Snickers bars? not so much.  What I don't like, is doing them 50 times.  But, if she wants Gigi to do it,,,,I will.
So, our day was kind of a bust.  So we went home, had lunch, and I think everyone napped.
I however, went into Greensboro because I had seen a treasure outside of an antique shoppe down there.
So,,,,I snatched it up...Is this not gorgeous???? Perfect for my herbs or just to plant flowers in them. Not really sure what I'm going to put in this beauty.
I also had to pop into another favorite place in Greensboro called "Ripe Things"
and pick up some oh so wonderful South Carolina peaches for our home made peach ice cream.
"W" has been making peach ice cream all of his life.  I've never had any until last night.  Something about fruit in ice cream just turns my stomach.
duh.
What the heck? I didn't know what I was missing!!!
Now for the tutorial
(I got my camera out a little late, so we were half into this) I'll explain you through it though
Smash up eight peeled ripe peaches
In another bowl open 2 small cans of 1,800 calorie each sweetened condensed milk
add one cup sugar (I think) oops, when "W" wakes up I may change that....oops, he just said I'm way off on my ingredients.  2 cups of sugar (and he usually uses eggs but forgot and you couldn't tell any difference!)
Mix that all up together with the peaches and pour it into an electric ice cream maker canister
add whole milk to the line on the canister
put the mixer in and then the top on
now.....it usually takes two men to figure out how to use an ice cream maker.
now, it usually takes two men to figure out how to plug in an ice cream maker
put ice about half way up
while that's goin, "W" grilled us up some OHSOYUMMY ribs and a butt.
back to the ice cream.  Once you fill the ice half way add ice cream salt.
then fill the ice all the way (almost) to the top then more ice cream salt and let er rip
check this out.  I can't tell you how good this was.
check this out,. I can't tell you how good this was
Lil B had to get a lil silly!
and then we watched the fireworks!
Have a wonderful, safe, and fun 4th y'all!

Show - n - Tell

I lied, I'll admit, couldn't go a weekend without bloggin.
Yesterday morning I got up and decided to sew.  Let all the fam stay upstairs ( I was so rude) ....and sewed.
See, we wanted Bennet to wear one of mother's french hand sewn outfits for the wedding.
Problem was,,,,out of about 100 outfits, there was not one ivory and ecru size 12 month boy outfit.
nope.....so, it was up to me. (or buy one). And, they HAD to match the ecru and white saddlockfords that I bought him last weekend But since we didn't have one of her outfits, we decided pay tribute to her by using her lace. And we wanted something really simple and elegant. By the way.... ut um.......I'm serious y'all,,,,,I have about $5,000 of my mother's lace in my sewing room. and I ain't lyin.  So,,,,I decided I could do it.  Even though I've never sewn a french hand sewn outfit before.  We'll they're not really done by hand, they are stitched by the the sewing machine.  Not really why they call them french "hand" made".  Anywho, it was fun!!!  I think I'll have to do more of these, definitely.
and....it fit like a glove and was PRECIOUS on him with that red hair.
Be still my Bennet lovin heart.

I think my mom would be proud!
Have a wonderful Sunday ya'll!
our agenda....(according to Evey, she's made out a list)
1) Make Gigi go down the BIG slide (and it's really big)
2) Boating
3) Lunch
4) nap
5)  Swim
6)  Nap
7)  Cook ribs on the barbie
8)  Swim again
9)  Watch fireworks from the back yard (we can see them from the Ritz!) (if I can stay up that late)
Have a wonderful (and safe) 4th y'all!

How To: Fold A Fitted Sheet

Does anyone else out there struggle with folding fitted sheets?  Errrrrggggg it's one of my most irritating tasks.  But, this guy makes it look SO easy!  He's evidently the "bed master" because he has a bunch of different videos out about your bedding.  Like bedding spritzers, how to make a bed, etc....etc....(and you know how I love a clean, crisp bed...Anyway, here's how to do it!::::

Hope you all have a wonderful 4th.  I know we will. "W"s deal that he has been working on for 6 months closed yesterday and we (with all of our children) will be celebrating BIG TIME!!!  I'm SO incredibly proud of my husband and the hard work he has put in to making this happen. He is brilliant!
I think Im gonna take the weekend off from blogging (unless I take some really good pics).
Have a great time y'all!
