A Beautiful Night!

Last night was magical!  Everyone who was invited to the wedding was also invited to the rehearsal dinner which was at THE BEST restaurant EVER!!!

A Trip Down 30 A

I woke up this morning to a cold but glorious morning!

At one of my favorite places in Northern Florida, Watercolor.

Thank you my sweet friend for letting us use your house!  You da best eva!!!

We are here for our nieces wedding.

I'm just sitting here blogging waiting for everyone to arrive.

So, I decided to drive down 30 A and take pics of everything I love about this part of the country.

Now, first of all when I was little, we would drive down this part of the country.  Land here was dirt cheap.  I mean you could probably get a beach front land for around 40K.  Now it would be about 2 - 3 million.  Wish my parents had had a ball to look into the future at that time!!! We would be RICH.

Which is probably what the developers are!

I took pics to give me so ideas of things to paint!!!

Irritated at Niemans!!!

Over the holidays I knew the grandkids were gonna come visit "W" and me.

and

I knew that Ever's and I (and J) were gonna go to the Nutcracker

and

I knew Ever's and I were gonna go to lunch with Elizabeth.

So

I went to Niemans and bought Ever's a couple of adorable dresses.

One was this one

It wasn't that I wanted to spend a lot of money on the dress, it was just that I wanted her to have something special that I wouldn't see everywhere.

Well.....

turns out that Niemans has "teamed" up with Target and is selling this exact same dress.

and I mean EXACT!!!!

And not only that, it is now 1/2 price.

I'm really irritated and stunned.

I guess it does mean that Target will have cuter things for little girls which is a good thing, but, so much for Ever's having something that is special.

oh well!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! and The Chick-Fil-A Bowl

First of all I sincerely hope all of you out there have a wonderful, wonderful safe New Year!

Out with last year. (I remember saying that last New Years)

Well, it didn't work, except for many magical things that happened in my life, last year pretty much sucked.

But, I won't bore you with THAT soapbox!!!

Painting was wonderful and we welcomed a sweet new little bebe into our lives!!!

So, I'm gonna look on the bright side.

Is is really 2013?  Gosh it seems like yesterday it was 1959 (the year I was born) hehe.

We had a fantastic night last night!!!

Gregory came up with a couple of friends and my nephew Jackson and a friend of his.

Now, backgound history (gotta give you some history before we can move on ya know?)

"W" has been on the Chick-Fil-A Bowl Selection Committee for 5 years now.

Its a huge honor and one that many would love to be a part of.  He got lucky when he was chosen!

So, we had ALOT of tickets for the game last night.

You know, the one that um Clemson won????

Yipster!!!

Well, me with a sore throat, laryingitis, and a broken toe was about to fly to coup about the 3rd inning.

Even though I LOVE DABO

Dabo Swinney is a personal friend of ours and is truly our hero.

I cannot tell you properly what a great person he is.

Not many know of his life story, but it is simply ammazing

In high school he and his mom lost their home.  They slept in hotels until the money ran out, then they slept at friends homes on the floor.

When Dabo was in college at University of Alabama, his mom lived with him in his dorm room.

What an amazing person.

He even gives a big chunk of his salary to his assistants.

For Christmas, as a favor to "W" he signed 10 footballs for "W" to give out.

We are just so proud of him and what he has accomplished in his young life.

 Fun Fest had tons of fun things to do!

 Unfortunitly #10 didn't have much fun

 If you got tired of the game the Club level had mucho flat screens for you to watch!

 and ya know, I'm sorry, but why can't the American's get their Gelato as good as the Italians?

I just don't understand it!

 they threw out 100's of little parachutes.  Unfortnately many got sutck in the line that the camera was on.

Dabo and one of our best friends Chris Donnelly (who holds one of those shiny National Championship ring himself!)

Clemson won!!!! yeah!!!
