Alexis, you won!!!

It's 6 p.m. and I made a decision!
Boy this one was hard!!! From now on, I'm just "randomly" choosing!
I don't know why Alexis' blog touched me like it did but it just seemed like a totally "Random Act of Kindness" and totally unexpected when that man put money in the meter to give her a helping hand. All of these stories are wonderful and thank you so much for posting!!! I have truly enjoyed each and every one of them. So, Alexis, please e-mail me at kbdr@aol.com with your address and I'll pop this....

in the mail!
Congrats!

Random Act of Kindness and a giveaway!

Today I went to mail a package Fed Ex. While I was in there a gentleman was shipping a bunch of Master's gear to his family. I noticed a pink baseball cap (that I have been coveting) and jokingly said "I want that cap!" Well, he said "here it's yours"!!!! OMG I was just stunned! I can't tell you how bad I wanted a 2010 light pink Master's cap! Then to top it off he said "would your husband like one? and handed me a khaki one for Mr. W!!! I'm just still overwhelmed by his "Random Act of Kindness"....

SO...I have to pass it on.....
I am going to give away a painting!

This painting won Honorable Mention in the popular Hampton Art Gallery juried art show and is one of my favorites

"In the Arms of the Angels"
18 x 18 framed. Gallery price is 425.00

I'm going to keep this going till 6 p.m. oh Sunday, April 18th
I want you to tell me something nice someone has done for you lately!
Then I'll choose

I'm ashamed :(

of myself.....

for letting this happen....

and this happen....

how pathetic am I?

the problem is, I'm terrible at gardening! Oh how I wish I could grow beautiful things like my friends Barbara and Wayne and one of my blog idols Slim Paley. uh um....www.slimpaley.com It's such a gift to have a green thumb.

So, as a gift to myself and to add another "I can do it" to my "I'm 50 and proud of it" list
(actually 51 is closing in tight)
I'm going to learn....

I started today and planted this:

and these precious little strawberry plants....

I almost pulled this little sucker right off and ate him....just for the heck of it!

and to my surprise! my rosemary and oregano (and a little parsley) went crazy over the winter!

Wish me luck chickies, I'll keep you up to date on my progress!

The Red Bike and other stuff

Is this not the cutest red bike you've ever seen????? I want it, I need it, I'm gonna, gonna steal it. (did I just make a chant???)
oh the simplicity of a little red bike.
I want to paint this...

and......we encountered another gator yesterday. Cindy went chasing this one to get her ball back.....

....She realized later that she needed a larger club.

I am SO in love with moss covered trees. They are everywhere here on St. Simons Island. When I was a kid and lived in Ft. Walton Beach, FL, we used to grab the moss and pretend it was spaghetti......hum....maybe that's what's wrong with me. I never REALLY ate it but came close.

We had a great time at the King and Prince member-guest tourney. We ended up in the top 10 so that ain't too bad for (me) Poor [Cindy] had to put up with my golfing skills!!!!
I cannot tell you how wonderful this place is!!! Easy to get to, fun for kids and tons of bike riding and walking paths.

Some new, some that I have shown at other art shows before. Wesleyan artist market is relatively new in Atlanta but has grown into one of the "must see" art shows in the Atlanta area. Please come by if you're in the area. For more info:
