When my mom passed away almost three years ago, she left boo-coodles of antique lace.
She was a master sewer, specializing in French handsewn clothing for her grandchildren.
Unfortunately none of 100 or so outfits that were left worked for the wedding.
So, in keeping my mother's memory alive, I will be handmaking the flower girl dresses for Evey and Cate.
Nothing too prissy, very classic, very vintage...like.
I plan to incorporate some of my mother's lace.
A particular 12" lace that she imported from France.
The hard part was finding a pattern. We have settled on a very simple pattern from Children's Corner called Louise. Very adaptable. You can add a collar, sleeves, shorten the bodice, or lower, add an overlay. What ever your design requires, this pattern will work. I have made this dress so many times that I could make it with my eyes closed. Very simple
In keeping with the vintage flair of the wedding, we will be adapting some of these precious looks!

I don't sew but there are some amazing flower girl dresses made by talented people on Etsy so my daughter has ordered one. The design is very similar to the choices you have shown, very cute!

I made a flower girl dress in silk dupioni for my oldest daughter about 10 years ago, also using the Louise. It worked very well! Can't wait to see yours!
