  3. When I saw this piece on FB this morning...a thought came into my mind. This represents our beautiful Gulf, and the Angels are reaching out to us,to hold us, to give us HOPE,and to guide us in the recovery of this man made disaster. I see many "Faces" in this piece! Such beautiful work Kendall. I would love to have this!!!

  5. I would love to give this to my husband, Skip. He's been battling prostate cancer for almost 2 years now. He's doing great, but I will never forget when he told me that when he was really depressed one day, he sat on the edge of our bed and began to pray. Right after that, he felt such comfort, as if a blanket had been wrapped around him. I firmly believe that Jesus sent Angels that day, and they've been with him for this entire journey.

  8. I have just recently been introduced to your work,and even though I don't know anything about art,I love it! I can't even describe to anyone what kind of art that I like, I just know when I see it.When my soul is stirred I am so amazed at all the facets of a painting that I can see and feel!!The angels are so beautiful in this painting!I see people leaving here and wanting to leave a piece of themselves behind for the rest of us!That's how it's really suppose to be you know!A part of them will always be with us.It's so very simple but still such a miracle.A part of my Grannie and of my Mamaw will always be with me, and I'm so grateful for that!The way that you can tell a story with the layers of paint that you use is beautiful! I love your work, I love this painting, and I really do love and appreciate what it says to me! Janet Cisco

  10. After graduating from Auburn, my daughter Halley left on Aug. 1st on a world mission trip to 11 countries. She has spent one month in each country. She is currently in Thailand and will be flying home on June 29th. I am totally redoing her room. When she gets home, I want her to have a peaceful, relaxing room. I would LOVE to have this hanging in her room when she gets home...it is soooo her! I couldn't worry about her, only prayed her guardian angels would protect her.

  19. My sweet husband and I have been married almost a year now! As you know, starting a life with little to no money can be the best and worst! Sometimes it's really fun to challenge yourself and spend long nights laughing about it, and other times it's just down right frustrating to not be able to "decorate" as you wish. I wish I had all the money in the world and then I would buy a huge tree painting for over my mantle, an angel painting for my bathroom, and have one commissioned too! :) Wesley and I are about to celebrate our one year anniversary and to me the angels would symbolize us and our first year together! How fun!!

    Ps- I am trying your potato salad recipe THIS WEEK! You'll have to try my pizza in exchange :)

  67. Well, I just happened upon this and decided I would write because I would LOVE to win "Faces." There are several reasons.....first of all, I had custody of one of my dancers 12 years ago. She was an amazing, smart and talented young woman. On her 18th birthday, she was murdered along with her best friend. JB, Tracy and I spent lots of time together and since they left the earth, I still feel them. I feel like I have 2 angels around me at all times. In fact, I collect things that have 2 angels because of JB and Tracy. After they arrived in heaven, they asked God to make a special deliverary to me. You see, JB always wanted me to have her a little brother or sister and Tracy had two little brothers she adored. I could not have children. After they died, I had 2 successful pregnancies that produced 2 boys....Samuel and Elijah.....my earthly angels. (JB made the request, Tracy picked 2 boys!) Sam and Eli are my second reason for loving "Faces."The last reason, is you. One angel sort of soars ahead of the other, as if leading. That was sort of the way I felt about you when I was growing up. You did everything for me! Everything from teaching me how to cook french fries to plucking my eyebrows to "trying" to sew....you ended up making everything because I COULD NOT get it.....to how to slow dance......you name it. You were the one that taught and led. So there you go Missy! If nothing else, I loved sharing this story with you and I will love you always!

Your blog fuels my passion for all things beautiful and family.

  112. I have admired your paintings since finding your work through Darby's blog. When I saw this painting (on Darby's blog), I was immediately drawn to the imagery. Viewing the two angels, reminds me of my grandmother (who recently passed away) and my grandfather (whom I never met). I think of them often as angels with a guiding light, as they were both incredibly strong people who pursued their passions and lived life with zest. I am in graduate school right now, working on 2 masters degrees, and I struggle with life decisions of playing it safe or reaching out and pursuing an unconventional path towards inner and outer joy improving the lives of others(i.e. working in a third world country or in an impoverished area). I often look to my grandparents, who took the road less taken, as guiding lights in my life, knowing that they will always be there as angels watching over me.

  127. I love this painting! Two of my favorite verses are about angels:
    Psalm 91 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
    12 they will lift you up in their hands,so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
    Hebrews 1 14 Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
    What a beautiful reminder of how God cares for us!

  143. I happened upon your Web site today (June 8), quite by accident. WOW, this painting really spoke to me. It's absolutely beautiful, and reminds me of my mother, who earned her wings in February of 2008 - very unexpectedly. I'm most appreciative of the chance to win such a stunning work of art.

  145. I must really want this painting! This is my fifth attempt to post a comment and for some reason, they will not post! Anyway, I lLOVE your paintings, Kendall but this one just sends me! I have had a fascination with angels for a very long time and these angels are stunning. They are so spiritual and your painting style is conducive to the subject matter: very ethereal. I have a daughter (age 25) whose name is Kendell and so many of the qualities of your painting apply to her spirit.
    You really make a powerful statement when you "wash" your canvases with these beautiful, mysterious images. Thank you for sharing your art; I would LOVE to own one of your spectacular paintings!
