Wedding Wednesday! Fabulous Florists!

Wait!  Can you believe it's already Wednesday?
Wow, this week month year is flyin by!

Okay, I love flowers.
If I could have fresh flowers in my home 24/7 I would.  Actually a lot of times I do!
To go to the flower department at Whole Foods is a really special treat for me.
I like loose flowing, lots of greenery, nothing structured.
Do not give me a structured arrangement.
It you do, I will re-design it.

Ya know, it was kind of hard finding the perfect florists for this segment of Wedding Wednesday.
Now it seems like a lot of folks are doing their own flowers or letting their stylist do them.
We are doing our own flowers for Callen and Houston's wedding.
Why?
Cause I want to.

So, first up is a ultra talented gal from Birmingham, Alabama.
Katie McDaniel

I LOVE this young lady's work.
Beautiful, soft, romantic.
Her work encompasses everything I love about floral arranging

Next up?
Charleston's finest.

love. love. love

now.
Joy Thigpen

to say she is talented is an understatement.
I wish I could tell you how many times I have been to her website since my daughter got engaged.

Joy Thigpen is actually a Wedding Stylist
but, if you're lucky, and you live in Atlanta, you can get her to do your flowers.
She started out her career out of college painting portraits.
Then she got in to photography.
Then Wedding Styling.
Is there anything she can't do?
One day I'm going to find her and meet her.  She is just simply someone I'd like to know!

Next Wednesday?
Graphic Designers

Have a great day y'all!!!

  2. Beautiful! My daughter has also decided that we will be doing the flowers which makes me nervous. I love simple bouquets as well, no structure. I think I'll start practicing now on making the arrangements for the wedding in February:)
