Wesleyan Artist Market 2013

The countdown begins!!!
Thursday starts the Wesleyan Artist Market.
y'all.
This is one of my very favorite art shows all year.
Set on the most amazing school campus' you've ever seen.
Wesleyan School.
I love this show so much.
Partly because Callen went to school there and I get to see old friends and partly because it is so well run.
Many different mediums to peruse.

This year they have changed the reins of leadership and seriously y'all, you are not going to believe the art.
So many new and exciting artists and their beautiful work.
The show starts Thursday 7-9 and continues until Saturday.
Please mark it on your calendar and plan to come!

my featured piece.
"Simply Spring"

Thursday 7-9
Friday 9 - 6

Happy Birthday Jordan!

31 years ago I was 41 weeks into a pregnancy.
At a mere 22 years old, I was young and had no idea what I was doing.
Luckily I had a wonderful husband and lots of family around to help.
I just had to interrupt Jordan's birthday blog and insert a pic of W he just sent me from China.
What used to be a child in his lap is now an animal.
hehe
And check out that beard he's sportin!
I like it.
so.
I went to the hospital in of course false labour pains and W and I had to walk and walk and walk.
They finally decided to admit me.
Well.
Back then they gave enemas.
I didn't even know what one was!
She brought this contraption in to the room and I said "what is that?"
She said "girl you are about to find out"!!!
W left the room.
So, about 15 hours later W and I were blessed with the most beautiful baby girl I had ever seen.
At 7 lb 6 oz and 21 in. long she was perfect.

She has grown into a wonderful, beautiful, sweet, smart, kind young woman.
A fantastic mother and wife and a loving daughter.
A young woman I am so proud of.

Happy Birthday J!

A Fun Little Day!

So, wow!  We are really enjoying some beautiful spring weather huh?
Yesterday went a little like this.
Evers had a ballet rehearsal that I got to sit in on!
And take pictures.

and yes, she WAS the best.....
except for her best friend Evelyn Ruth.
SO...
off to plan a birthday party!
I had been obsessing about these "red neck" wine glasses, so I went to Swoozies and found them.
Couldn't wait to get to sister's house to show her.
She looked at me and said "seriously?"
"Kendall, what did you pay for those?"
I hung my head and said "7.00 each"
She said "GO right now to Dollar Tree and get some candle sticks....
We are making those....
SO....off to Dollar Tree.

So, for a mere 1.25 each we had our own "red neck wine glasses".
And everyone got to take home a party favor.
We cooked out burgers at sister's house and celebrated Jordan's 31st birthday with her friends!

have a beautiful day y'all!!!
