Wedding Wednesday, Wonderful Wedding Venues....

Special.
That's the only word I can think of when I chose these three wedding venues to show you!

Nowadays Destination Weddings are a big thing.
I'm one of those simple elegant lovers.
I love the non-showy.
I love organic.
I love a beautiful view.
I love romantic.

So I chose three venues that I felt were the most special.

First up...

Serenbe
 Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia

where is this place?
it is 32 miles south of Atlanta.
Serenbe is a 1,000 acre absolutely beautiful community.
I want to live there.
and I'm serious.
The community focuses on land preservation, agriculture, energy efficiency, walk ability, and arts and culture.
The New York Times dubbed Serenbe the "Sonoma for the New South"
They grow what they eat.
And most is organic.

next?
One of my very favorite restaurants.  ever.

Canyon Kitchen
Lonesome Valley, North Carolina
all I know to say is "oh yummy"
the food is amazing....
and the backdrop is just as amazing.

 really? I mean really, really?

John Fleer is the creative genius/chef behind this uber special venue.
note to self.  great wedding drink.  their raspberry mojoto.
and...
if you're lucky, you can stay at The Old Edwards Inn in Highlands.
That's one wedding I would definitely attend :)

and last but not least....
my favorite place in the whole wide world.
THEWHOLEWIDEWORLD

The Auberge du Soleil
Rutherford, California

hold on to your pocketbook if you choose this location.
Years ago "W" was given a gift certificate to a travel agency for something he had done at work.
So, he said "you call the agency and set up a trip for us".
Well, I called the agency and said I want to go to the best place in Napa.
She sent us to the Auberge du Soleil.

Y'all.
omg.
Let's just put it this way.  "W" never let me plan a vacation again.

I booked this wonderful suite.
It kinda went like this.

You walk in and the smell of logs burning on the fireplace hits you smack in the face.
The couches have big fluffy hot pink chenille pillows matched with touches of orange.
The floor is Mexican tile.
The bedrooms have crisply ironed Frette white linens.
So crisp that they are cool to the touch when you slip in to them.
(after visiting I started sending my sheets to the cleaners:)
The bathtub is huge and has this wonderful little bowl of bath salts.  A little circle window is open above the tub to let the fragrance of the grape vines filter through.
If you don't have your wedding there, just go for your honeymoon...
or to have a wedding "do over", or go for fun.
just go, if you ever have the chance!!!

next week?
Fabulous Florists!!!
have a great day y'all!

  1. All so pretty. My daughter is getting married at the end of Feb 2014 and has chosen a venue with a rustic feel out here in Canada. Looking forward to it! For us it is about hearty food and drinks and lots of dancing and fun :)
