Cairns

Yesterday we flew on up to Cairns, Australia, and then to our condo at Port Douglas

Here is where we will go snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef today!!!

Again, E has spoiled me rotten and has gotten the greatest place to stay.  The largest salt water pool sits right outside the back of our condo and all you have to do is just walk on in!

This was a perfect day.  A relaxing wonderful lunch followed by a walk down to the ocean.

We walked through a beautiful wedding and thought ever so slightly about wedding crashing but decided we didn't like the bridesmaids dresses :)

Snobs.

In my defense they really were awful looking.  They looked like blue tutus.

But the bride was wearing a beautiful gown!

We checked out all the fun things to do and narrowed it down to a helicopter sight seeing ride at 7.

That got nixed. (too early)

So about 9 we will go to the reefs!  This is going to be SOOOOO much fun!

We have the underwater camera charged and ready to shoot.

Tomorrow?

The rain forrest and then flying out to the most stunning place on earth

Lizard Island.

And then a trip to the Outback where we think we'll be camping out. 

So much fun!!!

 the sand is totally different than that of the Florida panhandle.  This is rather muddy almost volcanic looking.  It was neat because we could wade out in a foot of water to get to sand dunes.  Tons of people had their dogs out playing in the water

 there was a nice lady for Aussie with her two dogs.  We are all dog lovers so this was quite the treat!!!
